There’s a lot of meta in there. First, that a fool and his (parents’) money are easily parted. Second, that those kids are all trustafarians. I pay 28-33% federal income tax on my earnings. I actually work. They do nothing all day, and only pay a 15% tax rate. How can anyone support current taxation policies?
Yet there’s a broader lesson on the role of luck.
As bad as “Friday” is, it’s no better or worse than most pop music. Have you heard, “Black and Yellow”? What a horrible song. What about, “Shots, shots, shot”? Another awful song.
All of this music is similarly horrible. Yet some folks make it big, and others are never discovered. Why? Luck.

It’s impossible to listen to the Bob Dylan-style cover of that song and not laugh.
