Heh good for him!
So I started out thinking that the blogger in question maybe could have been less confrontational with an older gentleman at a small town newspaper. Maybe have a genuine teaching moment with him to correct a, possibly, honest misconception that everything on the internet is free for the taking (because some people do believe that). Then he pulled out the checkbook and I realized: No, he knew well enough and knows he’s busted.
Good for him, now if only I had $500 for every time someone copied my stuff…
Seriously it takes a long time to write and research a serious article. Why wouldn’t we expect to be paid?
