Springsteen on Marriage Equality

Like many of you who live in New Jersey, I’ve been following the progress of the marriage-equality legislation currently being considered in Trenton. I’ve long believed in and have always spoken out for the rights of same sex couples and fully agree with Governor Corzine when he writes that, “The marriage-equality issue should be recognized for what it truly is — a civil rights issue that must be approved to assure that every citizen is treated equally under the law.” I couldn’t agree more with that statement and urge those who support equal treatment for our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters to let their voices be heard now.     Why is it that none of the anti- gay marriage laws come with provisions banning divorce or criminalizing adultery? Oh yeah, because jeezus freaks are hypocrites by nature. Religion is cancer.

        For the record, not all delusional hypocritical fools who believe in magic space zombie jews oppose gay marriage. I believe in magic space zombie jews. I’m a deacon for my local house of believers in magic space zombie jews. In fact, I’m the MODERATOR of the deacons for the local house of believers in magic space zombie jews. I’m also, no doubt, a fool, delusional, and frequently a hypocrite. However, I am, at least, in favor of gay marriage. Why shouldn’t those fuckers suffer like the rest of us?

          Sadly, the magic space zombie jew eater movement does not wear your face. If the MSZJE movement would have an internal revolution, throw out the bigots and the hypocrites (well, nah, we are ALL hypocrites… just the bigots), then the MSZJE movement would a) have much better PR, b) might still have me as a member. I’m not saying not to let them come and bow down to the MSZJ, but keep them off the podium.

            The problem, of course, is that the MSZJE movement does not have a single face, and does not operate as a single entity. I could lead an uprising at my local MSZJE branch, but it’s already pretty progressive. I’m not sure how my branch could have a revolution that would impact other branches without looking rather like a jihad. That’s their hang-up, not ours.

              Sounds like a problem that must have a solution somewhere. Maybe the good MSZJEs could start a PR campaign that informs the bad MSZJEs that they are ruining it for all the MSZJEs…
