Those same soaps are commonly used by adults with acne or other skin problems.
why are you testing babies for weed? especially with medical marijuana readily available to so many?
Drug-testing infants is another example of a feel-good solution that makes things worse. The most common difference it makes is that mothers who use anything at all, even occasional pot, will now not dare to come in for prenatal care, and maybe not even to give birth! Result: a much higher death rate than anything drug use might cause.
And while we’re on the subject, why does the sale or use of any drugs a criminal offense, when a better solution would be counseling and, if necessary, a prescription for that person’s drug of choice? Would cut down crime immensely, both at the street level and at HSBC (recently fined $1.5 billion for drug-money laundering) and similar institutions… and the added bonus would be, Congress could ignore drugs and deal with stuff that they actually should deal with.
