Stupidity and ignorance cross all borders. That’s all this proves. If voting were a right given to truly informed individuals, both the Democratic and Republican Parties would be quite small. In that case, it might be a “true election” rather than a freakin’ circus.

That’s an example of somebody not so much listening as trusting that what is stated to him is truthful. Many people simply take a rest when they believe they are fairly being told the truth. Since this guy expected to be hearing what Obama actually believed, he had no reason to listen. And asked whether he agreed or not, note that he answered yes or no without demonstrating any comprehension. What he demonstrated was he understood social nuance. That he could read from the tenor and tone of the question asked of him and respond with the desired response of the questioner. This form of leading Q&A has long been known in psychology and criminal law.

excellent point, WaxWerx. Perhaps this also shows the imperative importance of listening.
