Is this Denver or Singapore?

A citizen came to a public place, where John McCain was giving a “town hall meeting.” For some reason, the Secret Service told the police to remove this citizen because she was holding a sign that said “McCain=Bush.”

And the police? Like the pussy little lapdogs they are, rolled over, issued her a ticket, removed her from the premises, and threatened her with arrest if she returned. So much for their oath to uphold and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

The right to engage in political speech used to be the most sacred of all of our rights. Unfortunately, this nation has turned into a flock of mewling cowards, and even that right is falling apart at the seams.

Now if only we could the Police to force McCain to answer the questions “actually” posed at these events instead of responded with material that is in no way associated with the issues presented by the questioner.

Oh, Prof. Randazza, here’s a Free Speechess story I thought you’d find amusing:

Public place perhaps but not a public function – rented space, private event … if there were 50 people holding up Obama is a Muslim signs you would be screaming for their heads.

Glad you know me so well. Very good argumentation technique too (sarcasm). One little old lady saying that McCain = Bush to a crowd who (I presume) would think that is a good thing is somehow equal to 50 people holding up signs that say Obama is a Muslim (something that is clearly a lie).
