Another Borat Lawsuit

Now the driver’s ed instructor from the Borat film has filed suit. This film will be featured prominently in my entertainment law class. (Source)

UPDATE: A plaintiff in an earlier-filed Borat suit not only had his case dismissed, but he now owes Fox $43,775 for their attorney’s fees! Kudos to the judge who had the chram to impose this penalty for frivolous litigation. (source)

    Pops is straight tripping. He got a fat sum ($500) to cruise Borat around for a few hours of drive time. What are his damages? He claims that “Borat did a hugging and kissing routine, struggled with his seat belt like a child, drove on the wrong side of the road, made ethnic slurs, said women had small brains and rolled down a window and offered a female pedestrian $10 for sexy time.” Big Whoop!

    Pops needs a swift kick in the ass for pulling this nonsense. Greedy bastard is jumping on the punked-sucker bandwagon because his friends and neighbors are laughing at his ass in the grocery store. I hope he has been saving up to cover Borat’s fees because his claim is the weakest of the bunch. It isn’t like he had a satchel of feces brought to him at the dinner table or was a stupid redneck college student cajoled into to making racist statements.
